Software:

• packAge - a Perl app helpful in maintaining software updates on Red Hat Linux systems. This is not useful with recent releases of rpm based distributions. Apt-get, yum, and others are much more useful.
• lircd_proxy.pl - a Perl daemon for the proxying of LIRC events.
• Tape backup system - a Perl application good for a simple and configurable tape backup system. Features include: labels, tape appending, tape spanning, dump, tar, easy to add backup methods, configurable backup methods, database backend, and web-based configuration and status checking. Drawbacks: no documentation (know Perl before trying this app). Compatible with: LVM, NFS, SMB, SSH, rmt, ...
• Bouvier dictionary - Bouvier's Law dictionary for the ZBedic Sharp Zaurus.
